The Guitarist For Paul Ryans Favorite Band Told Him Where To Go And It Is GLORIOUS!

Paul Ryan has described Rage Against The Machine as a band he really loves. Whats unfortunate about that is that Paul Ryan IS the machine. Hes the Speaker of the machine. Everything about him screams machine. While anyone who has ever listened to RATM chuckled when they first heard that the band is all over Ryans iPod, Ryan himself never seemed to get the joke.

Well the joke is on him. Tom Morello, guitarist for Rage, shattered Ryans dreams of being considered public fanboy number one when he said this about Ryan:

Paul Ryans love of Rage Against the Machine is amusing, because he is the embodiment of the machine that our music has been raging against for two decades. Charles Manson loved the Beatles but didnt understand them. Governor Chris Christie loves Bruce Springsteen but doesnt understand him. And Paul Ryan is clueless about his favorite band, Rage Against the Machine.

Nothing could be more on point. Rage isnt about catchy beats to listen to on the treadmill, they actually stood for something. They were all about rallying against those who would step on the little guy to get to the top.

Morello continued:

Dont mistake me, I clearly see that Ryan has a whole lotta rage in him: A rage against women, a rage against immigrants, a rage against workers, a rage against gays, a rage against the poor, a rage against the environment. Basically the only thing hes not raging against is the privileged elite hes groveling in front of for campaign contributions.

Morellos remarks come from an article he wrote for Rolling Stone magazine that perfectly describes how his band was on the frontlines of the issues, mobilizing civil discourse and promoting activism all over the world. In what could be the perfect mic drop of an ending, Morello says:

Maybe Ryan was moshing when he should have been listening.

Well said.
