In yet another of the are you f*cking kidding me? lawsuits that tend to plague America (were looking at you, Donald Trump), a New York woman is suing her young nephew because she fell and broke her wrist during a fall.

The incident happened in 2011, when Sean Tarala was just 8-years-old. On March 18 of that year, his aunt, then 50-year-old Jennifer Connell, was visiting the family for her nephews birthday party. When her nephew noticed her, he ran to her from his bike and shouted, Auntie Jen, I love you, then jumped into her arms. His 50 pound body sent them both tumbling and she broke her wrist. She didnt mention anything then because she didnt want to upset him. She reserved that for later.

Her complaints are almost as ridiculous as the lawsuit itself; she claims that her once broken wrist makes living in a Manhattan third-floor walk-up very difficult and that, I was at a party recently, and it was difficult to hold my hors doeuvre plate.

Connells attorney said that:

A reasonable eight years(sic) old under those circumstances would know or should have known that a forceful greeting such as the one delivered by the defendant to the plaintiff could cause the harms and losses suffered by the plaintiff.

Connell is suing her nephew for $127,000. Oh, and the worst part? Sean lost his mother last year. He is now 12.

If you guys had decided to do even the slightest bit of research into why the nephew was sued, youd have learned that it happened because the woman was forced to do it because the property insurance company-the people obligated to pay the medical bills-refused to pay. Suing the kid was the only way to get the insurance company to pay up.
